RULES AND REGULATIONS
General Rules:
Conduct Rules:
- Maintain discipline during the event
- Follow instructions from event coordinators
- Respect judges’ decisions, which will be final and binding
- Avoid discussion with other members during answer rounds
Device Usage Rules:
- Mobile phones are allowed only during the Round 2 preparation phase
- Mobile usage is strictly prohibited in earlier rounds
- Internet usage is allowed only when permitted by the coordinators
Answer Submission Rules:
- Answers must be submitted within the given time limit for Round 1.
- During one on one debate round, Personal attacks, shouting or speaking over your opponent or judges will lead in disqualification.
Game Duration: 1 Hour 30 Minutes
Disqualification Conditions:
Use unfair means
Violate coordinator instructions
Personal attacks, shouting or speaking over your opponent or judges.
Copy answers from other member
Disrupt the event flow
Rounds:
Round 1: The Quiz
30 Minutes total. You have slightly over one minute per question.
Round 2 (Moot Court)
Each of the 5 debate matchups will last precisely 15 minutes.
Score:
Round 1
- Correct Answer: +4 Points
- Unattempted Question: 0 Points
- Incorrect Answer: -1 Point
Round 2
- Marking will be done by the judges out of 10, based on your overall performance. Based on the marking 1st, 2nd, 3rd will be allocated.
Notes:
- Judging will be conducted by Faculty members.
- The decision of the judges will be final and non-negotiable.
